640-16-126 Landscape Installation, North Campus Loop Rd

Statement of Work (SOW)

PROJECT: Landscape Installation, North Campus Loop Rd PROJECT LOCATION: Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) 3801 Miranda Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304 PROJECT TYPE: Construction DATE: June 26, 2018

1. Project Scope of Work:

a. Contractor shall provide all material and labor to completely prepare site for construction operations, and furnish all labor, equipment and materials and perform work for the installation of Landscape items as required by the drawings and specifications (attached). Work includes demolition / removal of existing soil, debris, and misc. items, and installation of new concrete steps, landscape materials, and irrigation as shown in the construction documents (Specifications and Drawings). At the end of construction, contractor shall provide 90 days maintenance for all landscaping in the work areas.

b. Contractor shall provide snow fence / chain-link fence to secure all work areas as directed by the COR. Fence stake must be provided and driven to the ground at every 20 feet.

c. Contractor shall wear proper PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel toe shoes, and goggles) when entering job site.

d. Any work impacts to the public must be coordinated and approved by the COR. In the event of public impact, contractor shall prepare applicable plans (traffic control plan) and approved by the COR prior commencing work.

2. Period of Performance: 210 days total from NTP

a. 30 days for submittals / general requirements

b. 90 days for construction service

c. 90 days for maintenance

3. Site Impact of Services and Response – Normal business hours at VA Palo Alto

Health Care System are 8:00am to 4:30pm. Special time arrangements can be made by contacting the COR. No work shall be performed before 8:00 am on weekdays and 9:00 am on weekends due to local noise ordinance.
