About this file
This is a Request for Sole Source Justification for a firm fixed price purchase order under RFO FAR 12.201-1 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Regional Procurement Office West (Network Contracting Office 21) is procuring electronic server switches, connections, and programming management control services for the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The contractor will procure, install, and program 46 server switches across 20 locations, with connections in IT closets, server racks, between multiple floors, and across several buildings. The services include proprietary programming management control, training, technical support, service call response, server maintenance, and warranty. The acquisition is restricted to sole source competition based on the determination that only one responsible source exists—Arctiq US, Inc. (formerly Dyntek Services, Inc.), the sole authorized distributor and service provider in the Las Vegas area for Access Technologies Group server switches. This requirement is a continuation of Phase 1 of the electric infrastructure upgrade previously awarded to Arctiq US, Inc. under contract 36C26125P1474, with compatibility requirements mandating the same vendor. The justification notes that proprietary rights limit competition for compatible items and maintenance services. Pricing will be compared to the previous award and other established contracts. The contracting officer, Amanda J. Hildreth (Network Contracting Office 21), and all required approval authorities have certified the justification as accurate and complete. Approval authority extends to $900,000 to $90 million for other than full and open competition. The acquisition ID is 36C261-26-AP-2853, with an effective date of December 30, 2025.
