About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a construction project at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The project involves building a new 4,000 gross square foot chiller plant with cooling towers, with a total project duration of 630 calendar days. The SOW provides detailed technical specifications for drafting and drawing standards, including requirements for CAD software (Autodesk Revit or AutoCAD), file formatting, text specifications, and document transmission protocols.

Key technical requirements include adherence to National CAD Standards, specific drawing and text formatting guidelines, and comprehensive documentation standards. The contractor must deliver as-built drawings and an owner's manual within 30 days of substantial completion, with the manual requiring detailed step-by-step instructions for operating plant equipment and complex chiller plant automation systems. The related federal contract opportunity indicates this is currently a Sources Sought announcement for small businesses in the Commercial and Institutional Building Construction sector (NAICS 236220), with an estimated project value between $10-20 million.
