About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 36C26025Q0291, which relates to a diesel-powered forklift procurement for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Q&A clarifies three key technical specifications: 1) The originally mentioned requirement for a 4th valve and hosing is not actually needed - only 3 functions are required for the side shift operation, 2) The acceptable mast specifications are confirmed as 181" maximum lift height with 86" lowered height, rather than the originally specified 185" mast, and 3) The lift height requirements are set at a minimum of 15 feet and maximum of 20 feet.

The related contract opportunity is a small business set-aside solicitation closing on March 10, 2025 at 17:30 PST, with questions due by February 27, 2025. The forklift must be a domestic end product, and delivery requirements specify that the delivery truck must be able to lower the forklift to the ground since the facility lacks dock lifting capacity. Award will be made to the small business offering the best price while meeting all salient characteristics.
