About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for RFQ 36C25926Q0150, which addresses clarifications regarding sharps waste management services for the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The Q&A clarifies that RCRA hazardous waste, black containers, yellow trace chemo containers, and two-gallon wall brackets have been removed from the revised Performance Work Statement Section 7. The incumbent contractor is NEIE Medical Waste Services, LLC with a current obligation (Base + 4 years) valued at $614,287.56. The facility generated 22,098.50 lbs of net waste over the last 12 months with service requirements of three times per week pickup. The document confirms that vendor services are required only at the main facility, with no pickups from offsite Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) locations. The revised total container requirement is 652 reusable sharps red containers for the main facility, and vendors may substitute four-gallon wall-mounted containers for two-gallon containers in high-volume areas where space permits.

The solicitation is a firm-fixed price RFQ set-aside 100% for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 562112. The question submission deadline was January 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM MT, and the revised quote due date is January 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM MT, with quotes to be submitted via email only to Noaa.Lanotte@va.gov. All questions have been answered through this amendment, and the government reserves the right to make award solely on initial quotes received or make no award from the solicitation.
