About this file

The document is a Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) standard form 52.225-2 Buy American Certificate dated October 2022. It requires offerors to certify the domestic or foreign status of end products being proposed for a government contract. The provision mandates that offerors:

  1. Certify each end product as either domestic or foreign, with specific requirements for listing foreign end products, 2) Indicate whether foreign end products exceed 55% domestic content (except for COTS items), 3) Separately list domestic end products containing critical components, and 4) Understand that the government will evaluate offers according to part 25 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. Offerors must disclose the line item numbers, country of origin, and domestic content percentage for any foreign end products, helping ensure transparency in the supply chain and compliance with Buy American regulations.
