About this file

This document is a Sole Source Justification under FAR 13.5 for Emergency Interventional Radiology Services by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The 7-month short-term bridge contract will cover the period from 3/01/2025 to 9/30/2025, with a total value of an unspecified amount, to ensure continuity of patient care while a long-term contract is being awarded. The incumbent, Radiology Specialists of Denver, PC, will continue providing interventional radiologist services at the RMRVAMC, with the justification citing the need to avoid service lapses due to the 60-day credentialing process for new providers.

The procurement is being conducted as a sole source acquisition under the "Only One Responsible Source" provision, with market research showing 25 vendors in the SBA's Dynamic Small Business Search Tool and 32 vendors in the GSA eLibrary for radiology services. A competitive long-term contract as an SDVOSB set-aside is pending evaluation, with a limitation on subcontracting. The contract includes FAR Clause 52.217-8, allowing potential extension for an additional six months, and is structured as a firm-fixed price contract to maintain critical patient care services for veterans.
