About this file
This document is a justification and approval for other than full and open competition for a federal contract award. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contract Office 19 sought construction services for the repair and installation of medical gases in five examination rooms at the Fort Harrison Veteran Affairs Medical Center. The services included completing the installation according to the statement of work, specifications, and drawings, while phasing the work to avoid impacting patient care. The sole source award was made to Copper Creek, LLC, a verified service-disabled veteran-owned small business, for an estimated $386,995. The authority for the noncompetitive award was 38 U.S.C. 8127(c) and FAR 6.302-5. The justification met all requirements to utilize other than full and open competition procedures in awarding this contract for critical medical gas installation work at the VA medical center.
