About this file
This notice announces the Department of Veterans Affairs' intent to enter a sole source contract with ScriptPro USA, Inc. The contract will provide for upgrades, replacement equipment, maintenance, and support for robotic prescription medication dispensing systems used across eight medical facilities in Veterans Integrated Service Network 19. The upgrades include installation of replacement servers, software upgrades, workstations, and robot replacements. The services include maintenance and support for automated robotic medication prescription dispensing systems, pharmacy management systems, pharmacy data terminals, pharmacy printers, electronic signature devices, prescription notice boards, mobile checkpoints, and software integration. The notice cites that ScriptPro USA, Inc. is the sole source manufacturer of the required dispensing system and software, which is only compatible with existing equipment and proprietary to ScriptPro. Replacing the current equipment with another manufacturer is estimated to cost over $11 million, making it cost prohibitive. Responses to the notice must demonstrate the ability to meet requirements and be submitted by August 30, 2023.
