Questions—36C25922Q0011 Install Critical Electrical Circuit for Lab Analyzer Q1: If necessary is core drilling required to be at night?

A1: No, but coordination/scheduling is required to be sure that we are not making noise/vibration while a medical procedure is being performed nearby.

Q2: If necessary are floor x-rays required for core drilling?

A2: No, optional. The narrower part of the slab (web) avoids rebar. We do not have pretensioned cables.

Q3: Per drawing 11, its calling for a 350amp 120/208V panel fed from the transformer. Our engineer seems to think this only needs to be a 250amp rated panel. Please confirm A3: New panel 03-CL24 S-3 on page 11 of the drawings can be downsized to a 250 A 120/208 V panel if engineering calculations are provided to show that it is code compliant.

Q4: Are completion dates flexible due to availability of materials?

A4: The contract period of performance (PoP) is 150 calendar days. The PoP is based on operational requirements. The government is aware of national supply chain issues, and if sourcing materials precludes meeting this deadline, a no-cost time extension may be considered.

Q5: Do we get 150 working days to complete the project?

A5: The contract PoP is 150 calendar days. The 150 calendar days includes submittals/procurement, planning, site prep, mobilization, and execution. See question #4 for potential procurement issues.

Q6: How long does it take to get a badge when you bring someone new to the job?

A6: Allow two weeks minimum. The badging process depends on the contractor’s availability to go to the badging office on our campus.

Q7: Do we have to provide fire extinguishers?

A7: Yes.

Q8: Will we be able to use the elevator and do we have to install pad's to protect the walls of the elevator?

A8: Elevators are available for your use. Install pads to protect the walls of the elevators only if there is a chance of scratching or damaging the walls.
