Attachment 1: Bollard Repair Rollup
ED outer bollards:
1. Top of bollards need plugs installed to eliminate water entering the inner bollard.
2. No waterproof wire connections (campus wide) resulting in poor electrical connections. All need to be rewired with proper waterproofing.
3. Top rubber gaskets need replacements
4. High and low limit switches needed adjustments. #4 bollard needs new switch with hardware due to corrosion.
ED inner bollards:
1. No issues other than faulty wiring connections and top plugs needed with rubber gaskets.
ENC bollards:
1. Top of bollards need plugs installed to eliminate water entering the inner bollard.
2. No waterproof wire connections resulting in poor electrical connections. All need to be rewired with proper waterproofing.
3. Electrical control box has water present and has destroyed many relays and has bad corrosion. This whole box needs to be reworked. Due to this, the bollards are operating erratically, and the water-soaked relays cannot be reset.
This box and its entirety is made by the manufacturer in Israel.
4. PLC Programing is not proper and needs to be gone through with wiring. Rhett is requesting wiring plans from
Israel with the proper PLC programing. The PLC and all the programing is proprietary to the manufacturer.
5. Four of the bollards need new limit switches replaced. Cannot adjust due to corrosion. We have to get all bollard parts threw Israel vendor.
PVS bollards:
1. Control box consistently going into alarm and tripping.
2. No waterproof wire connections resulting in poor electrical connections. All need to be rewired with proper waterproofing
3. Some bollard damage due to snow removal plow. Recommend plow height be raised in the future. Two bollard tops were broken and needed to be drilled out and re-tapped. Executed this repair with the hardware that we had on site. Covers will need proper screws in the near future.
4. None of these bollards worked due to bad PLC and faulty wiring/install. Due to the PLC being a proprietary request the thought of repairing with US/local replacement.
PVN bollards:
1. Multiple adjustments needed on high/low limit switches.
2. No waterproof wire connections resulting in poor electrical connections. All need to be rewired with proper waterproofing.
3. #2 inbound wires were not connected.
3. Snowplow damage. Need new down sensors due to this. Bollard #2 needs to be replaced due to this. Shaft bent and will not operate properly with pump damage.
4. A lot of water damage in this zone. This is due to large water drainage issue with flag area water irrigation.
5. Conductivity issues with Lenel at SCC. May be a PLC programing issue.
Loading dock bollards:
1. #1 bollard needs solenoid with proper wiring conducted then put back into ground.
2. We had good operation with these bollards.
3. No waterproof wire connections resulting in poor electrical connections. All need to be rewired with proper waterproofing.
4. New top rubber gaskets needed.
