Q&A 36C25920Q0535 Psychological Evaluations and Testing

1) Regarding initial interviews for newly hired officers: Approximately how many new officers are hired in an average year? Do they tend to be hired at certain times of the year (such as the beginning of the government’s budget year in October), or hired throughout the year?

ANSWER: Approximately 6-8 Officers are hired throughout the Fiscal Year.

2) Regarding annual interviews: Approximately how many personnel currently have annual reviews each year? Will this number probably stay about the same over the 5 years of this contract? If it will probably go down or up, about when and by how much?

ANSWER: We anticipate a total of 20-22 Officers per Fiscal year for the life of the contract. The number of annual evaluations could be less than 20 depending upon turnover.

3) Regarding incident psychological evaluations: About how many of these happen in an average year?

ANSWER: No more than 22.

4) What is the government’s expectation for how long each of these interviews/evaluations should take:

· Initial Interview: 1 hour minimum to 2 hours maximum

· Annual Interview: 1 hour minimum to 2 hours maximum

· Incident Evaluation/Interview: 1 hour minimum to 2 hours maximum

5) With the way that the initial, annual, and incident interviews happen over a year, is it possible for a single psychologist to conduct all the interviews? Does the government have a preference for whether the interviews are all done by one psychologist, or by several psychologists?

ANSWER: The facility would leave that up to the Vendor; the facility would not have a preference.

6) Is there an incumbent for this work, and if so, who is it?

ANSWER: NO

7) If some travel might be required, should travel expenses be rolled into the overall quote or priced separately?

ANSWER: It is anticipated that travel to the local facility may occur in order to conduct the annual psychological evaluations of the police officers as it would be cost effective to pay the vendor rather than paying each individual officer to travel for the evaluation. Travel should be quoted a lump sum broken down into monthly payments.
