Statement of Work Weight Based Inventory System
1. Requesting Office Rocky Mountain Regional VA Hospital Section: Supply Chain Management Services (SCMS) Denver Address: 13611 E. Colfax, Aurora, CO 80045
And
Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (OKC) Address: 921 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104
2. Contract Title.
Purchase, set-up, and service of Weight Based Inventory Management System for Rocky Mountain Regional VA Hospital and Oklahoma City VA Health Care System
3. Background.
Historically, SCMS has used cycle counting to monitor inventory levels within each service’s supply closets. This resupply process of the supply closets is labor and time intensive, in times of heavy workloads due to low availability of supply personnel and/or hospital patient load, it can potentially decrease the ability to restock supplies in a timely manner. A weight based system will augment SCMS’s effectiveness and timeliness to resupply inventory while decreasing the work load of supply personnel and mitigating risks to patients. OKC requires the system at a Pilot Location for 400 items (on racks) with interfaces.
4. Brand Name or Equal Salient Characteristics Brand Name Item: PAR Excellence

The PAR Bin System will be interfaced with GIP. The primary purpose of the interface is to identify out of balance on-hand quantities and values between GIP and the PAR bins system. PAR BINS will identify any out of balance on hand quantities and values, accounting for any due out or due ins. If the out of balance condition is caused by a pending due in or due out, it will be displayed separately to easily identify. PAR bin due-ins and due-outs will automatically be removed when GIP due-in and due-outs are “cleared”.
The functionality of the PAR BIN System is listed below.
