About this file
This is a Sources Sought Notice for a gel electrophoresis instrument procurement by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17. The notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an invitation for bid, request for proposal, or any obligation to award a contract. The government will use responses to assess whether sufficient socioeconomic small business concerns are capable of performing the work.
The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service requires a fully automated gel electrophoresis instrument capable of performing serum and urine protein electrophoresis (SPEP/UPEP), immunofixation (SIFE/UIFE), and immunotyping (IT) to identify monoclonal and polyclonal gammopathies. The instrument will be located at Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, Texas 78229. The facility has previously used Sebia instruments (Capillarys and Hydrasys) and seeks a replacement or upgrade to continue these essential pathology and laboratory services for veterans. A Statement of Work is attached but not fully provided in the excerpt. No response deadline, award date, pricing terms, or contract vehicle information is specified in this pre-solicitation notice.
