About this file

This document is an Amendment (0002) to Solicitation 36C25726R0015 for the Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically for replacing cast iron drain lines and chemical waste systems at the Audie Murphy VA Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. The solicitation is exclusively set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), with the prime contractor required to be SDVOSB certified at the time of proposal submission. Key modifications include extending the proposal due date to December 03, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST, providing a site visit sign-in sheet, and releasing responses to Request for Information (RFI) questions.

The project involves replacing outdated and leaking drain lines on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hospital, requiring specialized work in interstitial spaces using harness equipment. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and construction services to upgrade the sanitary, waste, and chemical drain lines in compliance with VA specifications, Uniform Plumbing Code, International Plumbing Code, Cast-Iron Soil Pipe Institute standards, and OSHA regulations. The scope demands a complete and functional reclaimed system, with work to be executed according to the provided design plans and specifications.

4. Drawing (.dwg) Verify the schedule of the Polypropylene and No-Hub Cast Iron?

Answer: Polypropylene is for fiber glass pipes and no-hub for cast iron drains.
