The contracting officer is Rafael Rodriguez (Rafael.Rodriguez2@va.gov).

The technical specifications require equipment to comply with ANSI S3.6 Type 4 and IEC 606451 Type 4 standards, with UL/IEC electrical safety and EMC certification. The audiometer must operate across frequencies of 125-8,000 Hz (11 frequencies) with 2% accuracy, supporting continuous, pulsed (2.5 Hz), and FM stimulus outputs. Intensity ranges vary by frequency, with TDH-39 headphones capable of -10 to 90 dB HL at 500-4,000 Hz and insert phone options available. Calibration must achieve step sizes of 5 dB with accuracy of ±3 dB for frequencies 125-4,000 Hz and ±5 dB for 6 kHz and 8 kHz. Equipment must function reliably in clinics, mobile units, and outreach events to support VHA's clinical standards for accuracy and safety.
