About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 36C25726Q0588, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 17 in San Antonio, Texas on June 17, 2026.

The amendment extends the deadline for quote submissions from Friday, June 12, 2026 to Monday, June 17, 2026 at 3:00 PM CDT and provides responses to 38 questions (RFI-016 through RFI-038) submitted by offerors regarding the CTX Street and Sidewalk Repair project for Waco/Temple VA grounds. Key clarifications include: Section 5.2.2 requirements apply to Bid Item 0004; the contractor must provide all equipment listed including skid steers, concrete breakers, generators, and related tools; grinding may be measured in linear feet while other work uses cubic yards; no work zones are located in patient care areas; substantial completion is required within 90 days of award; finished sidewalks must match existing conditions for concrete finish, ADA slopes, expansion joints, and control joints; concrete/asphalt pavement experience satisfies the five-year ground maintenance requirement; CLINs 0006 and 0007 (Administration/Safety and Insurance) will be combined at award; and COR contact information will be provided at time of award. The document indicates that information regarding patient-movement restrictions, working hours, campus phasing, project schedule requirements, final walkthrough procedures, performance bond timing, wage determination classifications, evaluation criteria weights, and pre-award COR coordination will be provided if the contractor is awarded the contract.

3. All the sidewalk repairs are a unit of measure in CY, but you lumped in grinding to this. Generally, grinding at the joints would be measured in LF (Linear Feet). Where the quantity of 22 CY came from?

Upon my walk of the site, I'm seeing a lot more than 22 cubic yards of concrete needed for this scope.

For grinding you can use LF for all other use CY.
