About this file
This document is Amendment 0002 to a federal solicitation (36C25726Q0365) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contract Office 17 in Temple, Texas for the replacement of a Building 46 condenser unit.
The amendment includes RFI (Request for Information) responses and a price breakdown worksheet to support contractor proposals. Key project requirements clarified through the RFI include: replacement of a 60-ton condenser unit with any US-made equivalent (equals allowed); use of R-410A-compatible refrigerant equipment to match existing infrastructure; contractor responsibility for refrigerant recovery, disposal, and replacement of the first isolation valve; BMS integration with Contech as the control vendor; formal commissioning including startup verification; and coordination with the COR for planning regarding crane operations and site access. The existing electrical service is confirmed at 300 amps. The contractor must provide new disconnects, conduits, and wiring runs, and submit crane plans for safety department review. No asbestos is present; permitting is not required; and the project is tax exempt. The period of performance may be extended after award based on material lead times. A bid bond is required; however, no bid guarantee is needed. Offerors must submit certifications and representations on the designated pages, and only two proposal volumes are required: Volume I (Price) and Volume II (Solicitation documents, Certifications & Representations). Staging areas and work start timing will be confirmed upon contract award.
