1. CLIN 001: Can you confirm that the unit of “170” refers to 170 total plates? Yes, that is correct. This line item includes “Garbing competency assessments with gloved fingertip and thumb sampling” according to the Performance of Work statement. This would be for 35 employees. This would represent approximately 35 employees (4 plates per person: 2 GL/FT and 2 post–media fill GL/FT). Is this accurate?

2. CLIN 003: Will this line item require observing each person performing aseptic technique during the media fill and documenting results per individual? This line item is exclusive to chemo compounders. It will be to observe and assess technique in using supplies specific to chemo (ie. closed system transfer devices). It is not for aseptic assessment. We are only looking for spills. The regular media fill is still required in addition to this test.

3. CLIN 006: This line item states 28 units for SEC testing. The Q&A document lists 7 rooms (3 anterooms + 4 buffer rooms), tested twice per year for a total of 14. Can you clarify how the additional 14 units were calculated? We are accounting for re-certifications due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. Who collects the Hazardous Drug Manipulation samples? Those can be assessed and discarded on-site once the contractor makes his assessment

5. Travel: distinguish between Standard and Premium Standard rate is set aside for all regularly scheduled visits each month. The maximum number of regular visits for standard travel is 32 visits per period of performance. Premium rate is set aside for emergency or unscheduled visits in which the vendor is needed onsite within 7 days of the request. It is reserved for emergency situations in which equipment repairs, recertification, or retesting are needed immediately due to an impact to an immediate impact to patient care. The maximum number of visits allowed for premium travel is 24 visits per period of performance.
