About this file

This document is a Contract Amendment for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) El Paso Healthcare System, specifically for procuring Guldmann GH3+ Ceiling Lifts. The procurement involves 4 ceiling lift units (model GH3+ 605lb SWL), 1 installation job, and 1 trainer module to be delivered to the El Paso VA Medical Center within 90 days after receipt of order. The ceiling lifts are critical for the Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program, designed to improve patient and staff safety during patient transfers and examinations.

Key technical requirements include a safe working load of at least 600 lbs, flame retardant covers, full room coverage track system, scale module, 4-point clip attachment with dynamic positioning, and a 15-year factory warranty. Installation is wall-mounted and must comply with National Electrical Code standards, with the contractor responsible for adding electrical outlets. The project involves 4 specific rooms across the facility, requires a Level IV Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA), and must be completed during normal business hours with minimal disruption to hospital operations. The lifts will be installed in 3 active patient care rooms and 1 simulation/training room.
