The Audie L. Murphy Memorial (ALMM) VA Hospital currently has a requirement for a project to modernize passenger and service elevators: Passenger Elevators P1, P2, P3 & P4 and Service Elevators S5, S6 & S10.
The contractor shall replace proprietary and/or obsolete components of motors, controllers, printed circuit boards (PCB) and not limited to solely electronic parts but also hydraulic and mechanical parts. Additionally, Fire Safety System components within the Elevator System shall be integrated and compatible with Fireworks and/or EST-3X/4.
All new components installed must be non-proprietary and must work with existing remaining equipment. The contractor shall provide all necessary services required for all parts being repaired, replaced, upgraded and modernized.
The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 with a small business size standard of $45M. The magnitude of this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.

2. Specific Dates - Tentative A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on or about 10/21/2024.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) shall remain posted for a period of 30 days.
Proposals shall be submitted to Contract Specialist Michael Walls at michael.walls2@va.gov within 30 days of the RFP posting.
Work shall be completed within 770 days after receiving a Notice to Proceed (NTP).
Architect and Engineering Documents shall be posted with the Request for Proposal (RFP).
3. Set-Aside This project will be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
4. Charges No amount shall be charged for solicitation documents.
5. Request For Proposal (RFP) Publication This requirement shall be publicized through the Governmentwide point of entry in accordance with 5.204.
6. Interested Parties All interested parties shall submit an interested vendor email to the Contract Specialist: Michael Walls at the following email: michael.walls2@va.gov.
Important Notice: Apparent successful offerors must apply for and receive verification from the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE) in accordance with 38 CFR Part 74 and VAAR 819.70 by submission of documentation of Veteran status, ownership and control sufficient to establish appropriate status, offerors must be both VISIBLE and VERIFIED by the Department of Veteran Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprises prior to submission of offer. Failure to be both VERIFIED by CVE and VISIBLE on VetCert prior to submission of offer will result in the offeror’s proposal being deemed non-responsive. All offerors are urged to contact the CVE and submit the required documents to obtain CVE verification of their SDVOSB status if they have not already done so.
