About this file

This document is an amendment to Solicitation 36C25724Q0466 for the J065-- CTX Toshiba G8000 UPS-Battery install requirement issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 17.

The solicitation is for preventative maintenance and battery installation services for a Toshiba G8000 UPS at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System. The Period of Performance is approximately 30 days. The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under NAICS code 238210. Offers are due by April 10, 2024. The amendment provides Q&A responses addressing site logistics, battery storage, location access, and OEM supplier requirements. It clarifies that only a one-time battery replacement service is required, not recurring quarterly inspections.

Questions

1. Does the site have a loading dock?

2. Can you store the batteries until our tech gets on site?

3. Is the location on the 1st floor or do you have an elevator?

4. Any special instructions for limitation on getting the batteries to the UPS?

5. You have it set aside for SDVOB and Toshiba does not provide any letter to any UPS service companies / agencies. Because they would be in direct competition with Toshiba.

So, can you remove the language about OEM?

6. You are asking in the SOW minor and major inspections! Are you looking for a price for 4 inspections a year? With the battery change coming in the very first inspection?

If so in the pricing schedule CLIN 0001 you want all the labor for 4 inspections and battery replacement? And CLIN 0002 the battery and freight costs?

Answers

1. Yes, the warehouse has a loading dock.

2. The batteries will be stored at the warehouse until they get here.

3. The location of the MRI is in an outdoor building.

4. No there is no special instructions for the UPS.

5. Disregard “Vendor shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed equipment/system, verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. All software licensing, warranty and service associated with the equipment/system shall be in accordance with the OEM terms and conditions.”

6. We aren’t looking for 4 inspections a year. We just need someone to replace the batteries and do a onetime service on this UPS.
