The mission of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) is to provide timely Laboratory testing services to the clinicians for the diagnosis and treatment of all veterans. The services provided are comprehensive and reflect a national standard of practice. However, the P&LMS is currently experiencing a shortage of Cytotechnologists to meet its own requirements and patient care is being delayed. Therefore, to meet the clinical needs of our patients, NTVHCS is seeking a contract for a full time Cytotechnologist based on VA vacancies.

The Contractor shall furnish one (1) Cytotechnologist certified in their respective fields by an accredited program (i.e., American Society of Clinical Pathologists) to provide services and technical assistance to the P&LMS area within the NTVHCS. The services to be performed by the contractor shall be performed in accordance with VA policies and procedures and the regulations of medical staff by laws of the VA facility. Contractor is required to maintain medical liability insurance for the duration of this BPA.
