| Section | Question | Gov Answer |
| 2.4 | VA states the need for the solution to be completely airgapped. Does the VA require the contractor to provide separate enclosed racks to house their equipment to ensure physical seperation of the guest internet services from the VA equipment? If so, is there space in the existing MDF and IDF data closet locations to be able to install racks or cabinets? | Equipment should be minimal. Space for equipment in MDF/IDF closets will be coordinated with VA IT when installation is in process. |

| 2.5 ( e-2) | The Government requires the average time to restore outages should be within 4 hours. How firm is this requirement as the restore time for internet service providers vary wildly based on the cause of the outage and is completely outside of the control of contractors who may provide thier services to the government, | Outages should be corrected in a timely manner as to not disrupt services for a long period of time. |

This is a separate system from the VA IT installed system and will/should not interfere with VA IT system already in place. |

If so what is the Wifi solution that is existing? The existing wifi equipment and ISP will be maintained by VA IT personnel. |
| 2.7 (b-4) | Requirement states "ISP determined maintenance shall be scheduled during off peak hours of 2200hrs – 0400hrs seven days a week and 365 days of the year". How firm is this requirement? While ISP after hours maintenance is generally performed off hours,cContractors cannot guarantee when an ISP will perform maintance or uppgrades to thier netorks. | The requirement is understood and the VA will work with contractor on flexibility of off peak or on peak maintenance. |
