Laundry Questions 36C25723Q0824 Questions by 8/18 & Quotes by
So does this mean besides linens being laundered, there will be mops: wet and dust, rags?
As far as “Entrance Mat Rental”, will we need to provide entrance mats for rental or are we cleaning entrance mats that you are renting?
Yes, there will be both wet and dust mops.
Yes, we need the vendor to provide the entrance mats and exchange them weekly.
If they can handle the how and the amount of laundering required but do not have medical center laundry/linen experience, will they be acceptable to perform the work?
No, they must have 3 years of experience providing laundry/linen services in Medical Center environments. They must meet Joint Commission and Association for Linen Management standards.
I am looking to clarify whether the laundry items are site-owned or contractor owned?
They are site-owned.
Does this mean that I have to subcontract only SDVOSB/VOSB to perform this contract?
I apologize for the confusion, clause 852.219-73 was not supposed to be added into the solicitation. It is set aside for small businesses.
Do you have a specific format you would like to see for the proposal?
Please follow the instructions to offers from the contract.
Is there a deadline to schedule a site visit?
Yes, although I don’t know the date the submittals are due.
Is there a current incumbent and if so, what is the award amount?
Yes, but can we provide this info to bidders?? For your info: Total Contract Value was $607,371, but we will not spend that much, it’s based off of how many pounds they launder for us.
Once a week pickup and delivery, excluding holidays? Yes, WEEKLY. Note: this was in the SOW under SUPPLIES AND SERVICE AND PRICES/COSTS. DESCRIPTIONS It is once a week delivery/ pickup.
Price per pound - no differentiation between wash and fold items and pressed items?
I cannot determine the costs differential between folded and pressed items, this has to be done by the bidder Historical poundage - wash and fold versus pressed items?
I don’t have that information. Historical data was provided in SOW but only total poundage Bio hazard items - identified at hospital?
Yes, we are a health care facility Dock high loading and unloading?
Yes, we have a dock Any consideration for price hikes in fuel?
I cannot answer this, contract includes transportation, so the bidder will have to include this in their submission
