DESCRIPTION: Audie L. Murphy Veterans Affairs Hospital intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1), Annual Membership with the Medical Center Alliance (MCA), a U.S.-based industry consortium and a not-for-profit, for the period of 09/01/2020 – 08/31/2021.

1. ***** Sole source determination is based on the need for membership in the Medical Center Alliance (MCA), is made up of the eight largest landowners in the Medical Center: The Mays Cancer Center at the UT Health San Antonio, San Antonio Medical Foundation, Methodist Healthcare, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, University Health System and UT Health San Antonio.

The Medical Center Alliance membership affords its members input opportunity on the Master Plan governing the future integrated development of the Medical Center which has direct, positive and beneficial economic impact on each property and institution located in the Medical Center. These inputs and decisions enhance the overall Medical Center environment regarding patient, visitor care and needs.

*****The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 813920- Professional Organizations.

****** A determination by the Government whether to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

*****Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for MCA may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation. Any questions regarding this notice must be submitted in writing via email to Dr. Vinicky Ann Ervin Ph.D. at vinicky.ervin@va.gov. All responses to this notice of intent must be submitted so that they are received at vinicky.ervin@va.gov no later than 25 Aug 2020 at 8:00 AM Central Time.
