Home Oxygen Questions and Answers Revision 01 – 11 February 2020
36C25719R0027
1.) As the number of patients were published in 2019, are there any updates to the number of patients served – oxygen, ventilator and non-sleep related CPAP/BiPAP/NIV/Ventilator/Oxygen?
Answer: The RFP states, “VISN 17 currently serves an estimated 6,868 oxygen-using patients, an estimated 55 ventilator patients and an estimated 8 non-sleep related CPAP/BiPAP/NIV/Ventilator/Oxygen patients.” This is the most current estimated quantity of Veterans serviced. This is a revolving number and will change regularly based on Veteran needed.
2.) Any updates on Houston being included with the VISN 17 contract?
Answer: Houston is not part of VISN 17 and therefore will not be included.
3.) Are contractors required to have a physical office location near each station listed?
Answer: Contractors are required to meet and/or exceed the time frame requirements outlined in the RFP. It is up to the contractor to determine where to strategically place locations to meet these needs of our Veteran populations in all areas served by individual VAMCs. Your business model should incorporate meeting emergent needs as well as standard delivery needs.
4.) Is a pricing list needed with our submission?
Answer: Please refer to Attachment 1 – Home Oxygen Price Worksheet for the required pricing submittal.
