Questions and Responses 36C25627Q0071

Gastrointestinal Endoscope Medical Equipment Lease Equipment Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) Little Rock, AR

1. CLV-190 (lines 18-19)) that are required because Olympus has older model scopes that are not compatible with the CV-1500? (The proposed Fujifilm Video Processor and Light Source (EP-8000 – ELUXEO 4K UHD Video Imaging Processor - line 1) is forward and backward compatible with all scopes in the Fujifilm portfolio.)

Response: Yes. The Government requires both the CV-190/CLV-190 and CV-1500 systems to support existing Government-owned scopes while upgrading system capabilities.

2. With the listed equipment, there is a need for multiple Olympus processors in each room. Does the site have the required space to accommodate 2 sets of video processors on the shelves (CV-1500 + CV- 190/CLV-190) in each room?

Response: Yes. The existing endoscopy carts have sufficient space to accommodate the required processors.

3. Are you aware that the pediatric colonoscope listed on this quote is an older model and Olympus does not have an updated model to offer? That model was released around the year 2012.

Response: The Government did not issue or provide the “quote” referenced in the question. The Government’s requirement is defined by the Notice of Intent and its supporting documentation, which identify the Olympus PCF-H190TL slim colonoscope. Its short-bending and retroflexion capabilities meet the Government’s clinical needs.

4. We see that the Linear EUS scopes are not listed, does that mean they won’t be replaced? They also are an older model and Olympus does not have an updated model to offer. (The Fujifilm linear EUS scope was released a few years ago and has been termed by many as a "game changer.”)

Response: The existing linear EUS scopes remain operational and are not included for replacement under this requirement.

5. Can you explain why there are 2 different standard gastroscopes listed on this quote? GIF-EZ1500 and GIF-1100 are different models but essentially offer similar specs

Response: The Government did not issue or provide the “quote” referenced in the question. The two gastroscope models identified in the Government’s supporting documentation fulfill distinct clinical needs. The GIF-1100 has a smaller outer diameter, while the GIF-EZ1500 provides extended depth-of-field visualization.

6. Are you aware that our ultrasound processor (ARIETTA850 - line 22) comes with all advanced features included? With Olympus, there is a different price point to gain these added features. (The ARIETTA850 and UC-01 (lines 22-24) are also listed on an NEC/NX Contract (36C10G26D0011) for EUS Processors through L1 Enterprises.)

Response: The Government acknowledges the product and contract information provided. However, this Notice of Intent is not a request for quotations, and the Government is not requesting pricing information through this notice. Product capabilities and compatibility information may be considered as part of the Government’s market research.

7. With the quoted Kits (TJF-Q190V-LOWAX-VA), are there consumables also to be included in the purchase? If so, are there listed minimum quantities of these items to be ordered in the future?

Response: The Government did not issue or provide the “quote” referenced in the question. Consumables are not included in the lease requirement. Any accessories or incidental items required to provide a complete and functional system will be identified in the resulting solicitation or award, as applicable.

8. Is this replacing an ENTIRE system?

Response: No. This requirement is not for replacement of the entire existing system. Certain Government-owned components will remain in service.

9. Will any existing Olympus components be utilized with this new requirement?

Response: Yes. Existing Government-owned Olympus components will continue to be used in the clinical workflow with the leased equipment.

10. Noting that the Tentative Award Date is 12/31/2026 – would the station consider an equipment demonstration to the clinical team prior to an award being made?

Response: The Government will consider equipment demonstrations for market-research purposes to assess product capabilities and compatibility with existing Government-owned equipment. Interested parties wishing to provide a demonstration must submit proposed demonstration dates, equipment specifications, and compatibility information to the Contracting Officer no later than November 02, 2026 at 10:00 cst.

Participation in a demonstration is voluntary, does not constitute submission of a quotation or offer, does not obligate the Government, and does not guarantee an award. Demonstrations will be conducted at no cost to the Government. Any change to the acquisition strategy or requirements will be communicated through an official notice on SAM.gov.

Note: These responses are provided solely for clarification and market-research purposes. They do not constitute a solicitation, request for quotation, request for proposal, or promise to issue a solicitation. The Government will not reimburse respondents for costs associated with providing information or participating in an equipment demonstration.
