B.4 STATEMENT OF WORK
Bio-Rad BioPlex 2200 (Brand Name or Equal) Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS)
Little Rock, Arkansas
1. Contract Title:
A. BioPlex 2200 Analyzer System, Reagents, Controls, Calibrators, Consumables, Installation, Validation, Training, Maintenance, and Technical Support.
2. Background:
A. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS), Pathology and Laboratory
Medicine Service (PLMS), requires FDA-cleared BioPlex 2200 analyzer and associated reagents, controls, calibrators, and consumable parts to support high-complexity laboratory testing and to improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes. The BioPlex 2200 systems will integrate with the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA/CPRS) and/or the enterprise electronic health record to support automated result transmission and standardized reporting workflows.
B. Vendors are advised that VA reorganization may necessitate adding additional locations to this contract in the future. Any such additions will be completed by bilateral modification.
C. Current testing for the affected assays is performed using a combination of manual and semi-automated platforms, which limits throughput, increases hands-on time, and can delay result turnaround times.
D. Alternative/ brands equipment must be capable of performing FDA cleared, fully automated, random access, multiplex ANA testing and multiplex infectious disease serology on a single platform.
3. Scope of Work:
A. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, reagents, controls, calibrators, consumable parts, software, labor, installation, validation, training, and ongoing maintenance and technical support necessary to furnish fully functional BioPlex 2200 analyzer system at CAVHS and at any additional VA facilities.
