Statement of Work (SOW) Two (2) Electric Powered Delivery Trucks Brand Name or Equal to MotoEV Industrial Buddy 2 Passenger Delivery (EIB-2PD)
1. Objective. Alexandria VA Health Care System is seeking a contractor to provide two (2) two passenger electric powered delivery trucks equipped with a cargo box and hydraulic lifts.
2. Background: Nutrition and Food Service delivers food to veterans daily and needs delivery vehicles in which a Food Service Worker can operate as well as reliable vehicles for transport. The current delivery trucks require a Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) to operate the vehicle, and the position must carry a Class D driver’s license to operate the vehicle. Due to critical staffing shortage in Nutrition and Food Service, a MVO may not be available to operate the vehicle, which can cause issues in meeting the nutritional needs of the veteran in a timely manner and put the facility in a vulnerable position if the temporary driver does not meet all requirements. The requested electric vehicles will allow more efficient utilization of staff and ensure no interruption or delay in food delivery.
