The centrifuges are manufactured in Leipzig, Germany and serve as the standard laboratory equipment for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service Line, specifically for use in Hematology and General Chemistry departments to spin down blood specimens. Key requirements specify the equipment must operate at low noise levels, feature a soft-touch lid closure, and have a low profile for easy sample loading and unloading. Equipment standardization across all PLMS departments is critical to the facility's operational efficiency and patient safety by reducing the possibility of human error.
