Preventative Maintenance Service Patient Lifts
DESCRIPTION
Modification for Solicitation number 36C25626Q0402/Patient Lift Maintenance.
Preventative Maintenance Services for Guldman Patient Lifts that are currently being used at
Micheal E DeBakey Medical Center.
Please see the reference questions below and answers:
1) Price Cost Schedule: The price cost schedule should be structured to reflect a per-unit price based on 750 systems. Additionally, we would like to request consideration for adjusting the invoicing terms so that billing can be submitted monthly in arrears rather than under the current structure. All billing will be monthly and in arrears but only billed for the number of lifts serviced. Contract is to cover up to 750 lifts. You can rearrange your response as appropriate.
2) In order for the VA to receive 3G Program pricing, the Statement of Work (SOW) must explicitly include the wording “3G Program,” or the Price/Cost Schedule must clearly identify that the pricing provided is under the 3G Program. Without this designation, the contract may not qualify for the applicable 3G pricing structure. 3G Program is required.
Kindly provide response for 3G Program
3) Section 2.3.1.6 Clarification:
Section 2.3.1.6 currently states: “The Contractor shall inspect and replace where indicated, electrical wiring and cables for wear and fraying.”
We request clarification that this requirement applies only to electrical wiring and cables associated with the Guldmann patient lift equipment and related system components. As the contractor is not a licensed electrical contractor, any work involving facility electrical systems or building wiring outside of the patient lift equipment scope would need to be performed by a licensed electrician or facility personnel. SOW is hereby edited to state “the contractor shall inspect and replace where indicated, electrical wiring and cables associated with the Guldmann patient lift equipment and related system components for wear and fraying.”
3) At least 5 rooms at a minimum need to be made available per day. This needs to be mentioned in the SOW. This is completely dependent upon patient occupancy. SOW shall be stated as “Dependent on patient occupancy, the facility will make best effort to have at least 5 rooms available daily.”
4) 11.2: Digital reports will be supplied every Monday after contract initiation until work is complete. If said Monday falls on a holiday the digital forms will be sent the next business day. Excluding the week between Christmas Eve and New Years Day. SOW shall read “once the day of submittal falls on a holiday, report will be due to next business day or coordinate with COR to provide.”
