About this file
This document is a Sources Sought Notice for Sterile Processing Services issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 16 (NCO16). The VA is conducting market research to identify qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) capable of providing sterile processing services at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas. The anticipated procurement will be a one-time, Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract supporting approximately 12,000 cases across various medical departments, including minimally invasive surgical procedures, operating rooms, and specialized clinics.
Interested businesses are requested to submit a three-page response by December 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM Central Time via email to Felicia Lovelady. Respondents must provide a statement of interest, identify their small business category, submit a capability statement, and include company details such as SAM UEI and CAGE number. The VA is specifically seeking firms with the capacity to support project management, medical supply technician services, and equipment maintenance for surgical and clinical areas. While the notice is primarily targeting SDVOSBs and VOSBs, other small businesses may also respond if no veteran-owned businesses demonstrate the necessary capabilities.
