About this file

This document contains a request for information (RFI) form and responses related to federal contract opportunity number 36C25622R0084. The opportunity is for project 667-18-111 to abate the central chase and replace a fire main at a Veterans Affairs medical center. The RFI form includes questions about whether the steam lines will be shut down during abatement work, whether the chase areas will be considered confined spaces, confirmation that there are no bus ducts, a request for more information on materials in a brick flue scheduled for demolition, criteria for temporary working platforms, and whether existing debris in the chase area must be cleaned. The VA provided responses confirming steam outages will be phased, the chase areas meet the definition of a confined space, there are no bus ducts, attached a drawing with information on the brick flue, referred to drawings for platform requirements, and confirmed debris must be cleaned per contract specifications.
