About this file

This document contains a justification for a single source award and a related federal contract opportunity notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 16 intends to issue a sole-source contract to Swisslog Healthcare to provide preventive maintenance, software upgrades and support, and repairs for the pneumatic tube system at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. The period of performance is one base year from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, with four one-year option periods, for a total value of $186,628. Interested parties may submit capability statements by August 3, 2022 to be considered for the work, but the notice states a determination not to compete the contract is within the government's discretion. The incumbent Swisslog Healthcare is identified as the sole approved provider of maintenance, repairs, and proprietary software and hardware for the specified pneumatic tube system.
