1. Would an MR Safe Gurney meet the detachable table requirement? (pg. 18)
1. Detachable table is mandatory requirement. In the event of a code in the magnet, the staff have to able to get the patient out of Zone 4 as fast as possible. Too many limiting factors with a MR safe gurney.
1. The listed gradient requirement of 34 mT/m and 150 T/m/s is the base gradient strength configuration for the GE Voyager. Other state of the art mobile 1.5T systems offer base gradient configurations of 33 mT/m and 120 T/m/s. Would the slightly lower gradient strength of 33/125 be allowed for this RFP? (pg. 18)
1. Magnet gradient strength of 33/125 would be considered
1. A peripheral angio coil is no longer routinely used in clinical imaging. This has been replaced by the high channel count inherent body coil for upper and middle portions and the high channel torso coil for the lower portion. Can we omit/replace the peripheral angio coil as it is no longer the standard of care? (pg. 19)
1. Yes
1. TMJ coil are no longer used routinely in clinical imaging due to high channel count head coils. Could the TMJ coil requested be replaced with a high channel head coil? (pg. 19)
1. Yes
1. New state of the art 1.5T MR systems may include 3 (S/M/L) premium 16ch flex coils for MSK imaging. These 16ch flex coils are used for clinical imaging of the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot. Would these premium flex coils with a higher channel count be considered as replacements for the lower channel shoulder/knee/ankle/foot/and wrist coils? (pg. 19)
1. Yes
1. Does the scheduler have to be on site in Shreveport or can they be virtual/ remote?
1. Scheduler would have to be on site. All MRI’s orders are reviewed and protocoled by the radiologist prior to be scheduled for maximum efficiency.
1. The price schedule mentions both a rate per scan and estimated hours for scheduler, porter and technician. Is the hourly estimate given to help us with pricing? Or are we required to have staff available for the time periods listed (regardless of cancelations)?
1. To assist with pricing, however if there are no scans or pending patients, contact employees are not required to stay full periods listed.
1. Aviate would like to confirm that the date on the page 15 of the Statement of Work is correct.
1. Changed via amendment 0001 to read Mobile MRI must be operational NLT April 1, 2020
1. The bid proposal is due on September 30th, however I noticed that you would like the MRI to be operational by 1 October 2019. Was this a typo or is this correct?
1. Amendment was created to indicate that the Mobile MRI must be operational NLT April 1, 2020
1. Please clarify the minimum requirement for shift staffing. The RFP was vague considering the total operational hours.
1. VA requires 2 MRI safety trained staff member in MRI while a patient is being scanned. 1 MRI technologist and one assistant/scheduler would be sufficient. Recommended hours is 12hrs per weekday, and 8hrs weekend. Since the contract is scoped for FEE per study, if the MRI section finishes early, or the schedule is complete, the group is free to leave early.
1. Are the Tech credentials required as part of the bid or post-award? FYI – in some cases like this with extensive operational hours new staff would be hired if the contract is awarded. All of my staff is Joint Commission certified?
1. Examples of credentials as part of bid is satisfactory. Joint commission certified or ARRT MRI Certification eligible is acceptable.
1. Can the scheduler be remote?
1. Scheduler would have to be on site. All MRI’s orders are reviewed and protocoled by the radiologist prior to be scheduled for maximum efficiency.

1. Your current requirements for personnel does not meet the FTE that is stated.
| A. | Scheduler 1FTE 56 hours per week, does this need to reflect 1.5 FTE? |
| a. | Scheduler estimated 8 hrs per weekday |
| B. | MRI assistant 2 FTE should this reflect the same as the MRI Technicians 3FTE? |
| b. | Two people required to be on the trailer at one time, may overlap with scheduler if necessary |
1. How many MRI technicians need to be on site for each shift?
1. One MRI technologist, but two people required to be on the trailer at one time. May overlap with assistant or scheduler.
1. Will the Scheduler have complete control of the MRI schedule?
1. Radiologists will protocol all MRI exams prior to scheduling, but scheduler will have complete control of the schedule.
1. Will overtime ever be needed?
1. Overtime possible, but unlikely
