Questions about the Arc Flash Study:

1. The performance period shows 150 days. Can this be extended to approximately 250 days?

a. Yes to 250 days

2. Are there one-line diagrams available for the entire solar panel install back to the main switch gear behind building 7?

a. Yes, see attached Solar drawings page W-802

3. Are there one-line diagrams available for the new generator building back to the switch gear that existed in 2012?

a. Yes, was not on 2012 study, see attached G07 cat switchgear drawings

4. Are there one-line diagrams available for the feed change from room 12 in building 7 up to switch gear on the roof.

a. No, change in room 2M10 feed was rerouted in room 012-7

5. Is the well location on the arc flash list?

a. Yes

6. What is the total square footage of all buildings on campus put together?

a. Approximately 650,000 SF

7. Is this solicitation requiring a response SF330 for qualification for selection to perform the Arc Flash study or a price quote to perform the arc flash study? I could not find clearly what response is requested at this time on August 30th.

a. Qualifications and quote should be provided by RFQ closing date.

8. I saw the notice on the site visit for Aug 27th. Is this a mandatory site visit?

a. No

9. I was looking to see if there is a mileage restriction and didn’t notice one or may have overlooked it. Can you please confirm this?

a. No mileage restriction.

10. Question: Will an electronic copy of the 2012 SKM study model and library files (which will constitute a working model) be made available to the firm selected for this workscope? If the electronic copy of the 2012 SKM study model and library files WILL be made available, will the *.TCC files also be made available? If an electronic copy of the 2012 SKM is not available, will a hardcopy of the complete report be made available? Yes

11. Question: Can the OSHA form “Exhibit A” be provided?

a. Disregard this request.

Reference: Statement of Work;

12. Question: On the site walk through, we identified that almost none of the VFD’s and few of the dry type transformers and disconnect switches were labeled as a result of the 2012 effort. Can you confirm that this 208V and 120V is to be included in the requested series of studies and should also receive an arc flash hazard label? Or, are you asking us to disregard motor disconnects, starters, and drives for motors of less than 25 HP? Reference NEC 110.16

Reference: Statement of Work, Page 5 of 6;

13. Question: Regarding the thermographic study portion of the scope, could you please elaborate on the equipment you wish included in the workscope? Is it only equipment which we must remove the cover that exposes connections? Or is it also the high voltage compartments of transformers, the internals of 480-120/208V transformers, and drives, etc.? Could you please detail the equipment to be infrared scanned?

Include all panels, transformers, pad mounted switches, switchgear, motor control centers, medium voltage switches, ATS

Reference: Statement of Work;

14. Question: Would the work be to install padlockable hasps on panels which presently are not lockable with a VA-lock?

No

STATEMENT OF WORK PART A – GENERAL INFORMATION

“Data collection and documentation shall include all electrical systems 110 volts and above.”

15. Question: What constitutes “data collection and documentation” for items outside of the scope of IEEE 1584 such as 110V systems? Will an inventory sheet be sufficient? If not, what is expected to be included on the model (same paragraph mentions “the study shall include all significant locations in the electrical distribution system”), should it be significant locations or all locations? Please reference data collection from SOW and include all locations on the drawings. Inventory sheet is not sufficient. The drawings should include equipment location, panel/equipment name, size, manufacturer, amperage.

Voltage Drop Calculations Provide voltage drop calculations for all three-phase branch and feeder circuits. Show calculated voltages at each bus and voltage drops on each feeder.

16. Question: Are actual loads expected to be measured to calculate actual voltage drop? Or, is there an expected load to be used when calculating, based on the feeding device?, i.e. use 80% of FLA, 80% of a breaker rated to 100A = 80A Use standard practice or use method of Wiley Wilson Study

Label Installation Contractor shall install applicable hardware (missing screws, breaker blank fillers, latches, etc.) found missing or deficient while collecting field data and as agreed with the facility engineering staff.

17. Question: Who will supply missing screws, breaker blank fillers, latches, etc? Are these items that would be billed back to the project or are they to be included in the bidding process? To be provided by contractor

Label Installation Contractor shall install applicable labels (customary warning labels –high voltage, Owner-provided equipment identification labels, etc.) found missing or deficient while collecting field data and as agreed with the facility engineering staff.

18. Question: Are these labels stickers or placards that would need to be riveted to panels? No

All other terms and conditions remain unchanged
