Examples of evidence may include photographs, videos, brochures, published technical specifications, and spreadsheets. Other forms of data may be submitted. Lack of evidence may result in a technically unacceptable rating.Contractor: Compliance with salient characteristics (check one for each characteristic)
Argon Plasma Coagulator - PROPOSED BRAND /MODEL # _____________________________
(including any accessories if applicable) must meet the following minimum requirements (salient characteristics)YesNoIf compliance with salient characteristic is no, then provide remark or explanation on how your quoted brand and model meets the requirement. Include picture, link, or any other information
Argon Plasma Coagulator salient characteristics:Yes indicates required characteristics and No indicates items we can live without. Most features are for the safety of the veteran
Automated power regulation adjustment
Three-stage cutting mode consisting of:

i) Incision stage: heats the tissue in the immediate vicinity of the cutting wire to 100 degrees Celsius which leads to a tiny initial coagulation of the tissue prior to the actual cutting stage

ii) Cutting stage: Development of electric arcs between the tissue and the cutting wire of the active electrode. Arcs voltage >200 volts and generated as soon as the vaporization of the liquid in the tissue creates a small gap. The reproductible cuts are detected by an algorithm that is proprietary to this model. The algorithm ensures that the length & quality of the cut can be reproduced.

iii) Coagulation stage: Tissue is prepared for the next cutting cycle to ensure various levels of hemostasis prior to any subsequent cut.

System should cycle between the three cutting modes but be controlled based on the predefined setting selected by the provider.
Must have Pulse APC capability
Must have Precise APC capability
Must have filter-integrated APC probes in order the prevent backflow of contaminants into the system.
