1. To be competitive for pricing, we need a break out of how many single channel pipettes and how many multi-channel pipettes you have at each location. Also, for the multi-channels, how many of each 8 and 12 channels do you have? If you can break out the pricing sheet, that would be great, but we can make it work.
Answer: Mobile, Pensacola, Panama City, and Eglin are all single channel pipettes. Biloxi has 10 multi-channels with the most being 5 in one multi-channel.
1. For the multi-channels, do you require data for each channel?
Answer: Yes
1. The seals are part of the price. For pricing purposes, can you provide make and model of each pipette?
Answer: Most pipettes are MLA, Eppendorf, and Ortho
1. Replacing the seals is part of preventative maintenance for most companies on single channel pipettes. On multi-channel pipettes, this goes against the manufacturer’s recommendation for preventative maintenance. Not all manufacturers replace the seals individually anymore due to how they are built. Most have gone to a complete unit which can cost $35-$200.00 for nose cone assemblies. Can the wording be changed to replace the seals/nose cone assembly if the multi-channel fails and the parts can be charged to the customer?
Answer: The Statement of Work includes the following language:
“Any additional needed parts beyond seals will be at additional cost”.
