The VHSO has experienced growth with the current expansion plans for two (2) additional clinics in the Missouri region. The VHSO Health Information Management department (HIM) manages all medical records for both internal and external activity to include the newly created records demand following the enactment of the Veterans Access, Choice and Accountability Act. VHA’s Office of Informatics and Information Governance (OIIG), Health Information Management (HIM), has transitioned from a paper to an electronic health record environment.
