About this file
This is an Amendment to Solicitation/Modification of Contract issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office in Leavenworth, Kansas. The amendment modifies solicitation 36C25526Q0559 for an Audiology Sound Booth at Kansas City VA Medical Center, with the effective date of August 10, 2026. The amendment extends the solicitation due date to August 19, 2026 at 4:00 PM CDT and provides answers to questions received during the Q&A period.
The document includes three key Q&A responses addressing dimensional requirements for the clinical space (239 inches long by 148 inches wide by 117 inches high, including a 6½-inch pit depth), delivery schedule flexibility, and room specifications. The government clarified that attached drawings from the previous sound booth serve as measurement guides only and are not binding specifications. Regarding delivery timelines, the government indicated the solicitation timeframe is ideal but acknowledged that offerors may propose alternative schedules; delivery schedule alone will not disqualify submissions. The amendment includes technical drawings showing floor plans, front elevation, interior elevations, and roof plan for the sound booth suite configuration, detailing specifications for control room and exam room layouts with associated equipment, windows, doors, and electrical/mechanical systems.

Questions and Answers
Q: The solicitation identifies the designated clinical space as 239 inches long by 148 inches wide by 117 inches high, including a 6½-inch pit depth. Could you please confirm whether these are the dimensions of the host room or the required exterior dimensions of the completed sound booth suite?
A: Please see attached drawings for measurements. The drawings are from the previous sound booth are intended as a measurement guide only.
Q: Would the VA please consider issuing an amendment revising the delivery requirement to approximately 14 weeks ARO, or otherwise confirm that offerors may propose their best available delivery schedule?
A: The timeframe in the solicitation is the ideal timeframe; however, we understand it may not be possible. Please submit your best available delivery schedule with your proposal. All delivery schedules will be evaluated as part of the package. Delivery schedule alone will not disqualify a submission.
Q: Could the Government provide, in whatever form is easiest:
1. Interior dimensions — width, depth, and height — for the control room and for the exam room separately; or
2. The minimum interior dimensions the Audiology service requires for each room, if exact figures aren't fixed; or
3. The make and model of the booth being replaced.
A: Please see attached drawings for measurements. The drawings are from the previous sound booth are intended as a measurement guide only.
