STATEMENT OF WORK

A. GENERAL INFORMATION

National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) Professional Membership

Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this Statement of Work (SOW), except as may otherwise be specified.

The purpose of this project is to provide organizational membership and access to NAHQ training resources for designated VA St. Louis Health Care System staff. The objective is to enhance workforce competency in healthcare quality and patient safety through standardized, evidence-based education and certification opportunities.

Background: The VA St. Louis Health Care System currently relies on internal training and ad hoc resources to support staff development in healthcare quality and patient safety. These methods lack standardization and do not provide access to nationally recognized best practices or certification pathways. As healthcare regulations and quality standards continue to evolve, the organization faces challenges in maintaining compliance and ensuring consistent quality improvement across all service lines. To address these gaps, VASTLHCS seeks to implement

NAHQ organizational membership, which offers structured, evidence-based education, continuing education credits, and certification preparation for healthcare quality professionals.

This initiative will create a sustainable framework for workforce development, improve operational efficiency, and align with VA’s vision of delivering high-quality, veteran-centered care.

Performance Period: The contractor shall complete the work required under this SOW in 30 calendar days or less from date of award, unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer

(CO). If the contractor proposes an earlier completion date, and the Government accepts the contractor’s proposal, the contractor’s proposed completion date shall prevail. The work shall begin within 30 calendar days of award, unless otherwise specified. Work at the Government site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the CO.

Type of Contract: Firm-Fixed-Price

NAHQ organizational membership benefits and training resources.
