About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Solicitation for Linen Transportation Services issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 in Leavenworth, Kansas. The amendment provides detailed Questions and Answers regarding the transportation requirements, which include a comprehensive logistics plan for moving clean and soiled linen between multiple VA medical centers.

The transportation service requires 5 trailers (with a 32-foot trailer specifically for Wichita) and 1-2 trucks/tractors depending on the day of the week. The driving schedule involves routes on Monday/Wednesday/Friday with one driver, and Tuesday/Thursday with two drivers, servicing VA locations in Kansas including Leavenworth, Kansas City (KCVA), Columbia, Topeka, and Wichita. Offerors must have a trucking facility within a reasonable distance of Leavenworth VA Medical Center to ensure quick response times for unscheduled or emergency purposes. The solicitation emphasizes efficient delivery and pickup of clean and soiled linen across these VA medical facilities.
