About this file
This is an amendment to a previous combined solicitation for LED and power supply replacement work at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The amendment makes several key modifications to the original solicitation 36C25226Q0333, which has been renumbered to 36C25226Q0435. The primary changes include: updating the quantity of new power supplies from 9 to 16 units with all accessories, and revising the quantity of 12-volt white LED modules from 486 to 431 units with all accessories. The solicitation specifies that existing power to the sign is 120 volts, and contractors must provide necessary equipment such as lifts to access the existing signage. The power supplies are located in the raceways where the letters are installed. Importantly, the scope of work involves replacing only the LED lights and power supplies; the letter faces themselves are not being replaced.
The contracting office is the Department of Veterans Affairs (36C252) located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (ZIP 53214-1476), with Vernise L. Newton serving as the point of contact (vernise.newton@va.gov). The response deadline is May 30, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. Central Time. The Product Service Code is 6515 and the NAICS Code is 339950. The solicitation is not set aside and does not utilize Recovery Act funds. All other terms and conditions from the original solicitation remain unchanged. The amendment also addresses technical questions regarding power supply location, sign condition, and access requirements, clarifying that no site visit is required prior to quoting and that contractors should base their proposals on the LED and power supply replacement scope only.

· The SOW references replacement of 486 LED modules and 9 power supplies for all sign letters. Can you advise where the existing power supplies are located and what type of access is available to them? Based on the quantity listed, it appears the power supplies may be remotely located behind the wall or within another access area. the power supplies are in the raceways that the letters are installed on.
· Is there any information available regarding the current condition of the sign letter faces? Older acrylic/polycarbonate faces can sometimes become brittle and may require replacement during LED retrofit work there is none, we are not replacing the letters, just the LED lights.
· Are there any close-up photos of the sign and letter faces available for review?[ there is none, we are not replacing the letters, just the LED lights.
· Would the Government consider or recommend a site visit/survey prior to quoting or award to better assess access conditions and sign face condition? we do not know the condition of the letters, we are not replacing the letters, just the LED lights.
