The Department of Veterans Affairs Great Lakes Acquisition Center issued the solicitation (36C25226Q0397) as a simplified acquisition under FAR Part 13.5 for commercial items. The solicitation closes on May 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM CDT, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for May 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The contractor must provide DirecTV satellite television service to three locations (Jesse Brown VA Medical Center with 311 television sets and 36 receivers, Auburn Gresham CBOC with 10 television sets and 4 receivers, and Lakeside CBOC with 2 television sets and 2 receivers) for a minimum of specified channels including local Chicago-area stations. The base contract runs from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027, with four optional one-year extension periods through May 31, 2031. Key requirements include semi-annual site visits, 24/7 toll-free technical support, service interruption response between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and pro-rated credits for unintended service outages exceeding eight continuous hours. Pricing is firm fixed price for 12 months of service across each contract period. The acquisition is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns, with a 50 percent limitation on subcontracting for services. Quotes must include pricing, evidence of three years' DirecTV experience, technical capability documentation, and licensing proof. Payment will be made electronically through the Veterans Affairs Financial Services Center via Tungsten Network e-invoicing, with invoices submitted monthly in arrears.
