About this file
This document is an Award Notice for a sole source procurement under FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 12, is procuring replacement endoscopy cameras and light sources for the Milo C. Huempfner VA Outpatient Clinic in Green Bay, WI. The award was made to TRILLAMED LLC on September 21, 2024 for $321,189.24. The justification cites that only Stryker 1688 AIM cameras and light sources are compatible with the clinic's existing Stryker endoscopic equipment, and that the Stryker system provides unique imaging capabilities not available from other suppliers. The procurement was set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB), and the Contracting Officer determined the pricing to be fair and reasonable based on market research and competition among eligible SDVOSB vendors.

These modalities, in addition to the standard white light modality, create four individually capable imaging modalities for different scenarios. This greatly increases the variety of cases that can be successfully performed. Additionally, the Stryker 1688 AIM is the only brand of video system that is compatible with currently used Stryker rigid endoscopes, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes used the Green Bay Surgery Department.
