This project consists of the realignment of 25 rainwater drain leaders located on Building 407.

The following steps apply to identified Building 407 (Main Project Area):

A. Roof drains are located above 3rd floor of building and will require a need for unique equipment to reach from outside of building (vendor to field verify).

B. Work to be accomplished outside in a high-traffic patient care area.

C. Fence barricades and turf protection devices will be required for moveable work area.

D. Clean all drain leaders with high pressure jetting or mechanically powered cleaning systems.

E. Inspection of drains to be performed by experienced personnel trained in locating breaks, obstacles, and service connections.

F. Vendor to provide video proof of existing conditions for each drain.

G. Video of each identified drain to be reviewed by COR as a digital submittal.

H. Correct obstructions or damage as found.

I. Upon COR approval of inspection, prepare drains for relining.

J. Reline pipes approximately 24” beyond existing roof head, elbow, and pipe in attic space.

K. Pipes will be lined with biaxial weave fabric and silicate based epoxy resin or similar product.

L. Resin and hardener required must be calculated in accordance with the manufacturer’s formula based on pipe diameter, length, and liner thickness.

M. The volume of resin used will be sufficient to fill all voids in the tube material at nominal thickness and diameter.

N. Reduction of 3” diameter pipes will not exceed 20 percent of existing diameter after installation of new lining, to ensure proper flow.

O. Final inspection will be presented to the COR by video submittal for each drain.

P. Trim liner flush with existing roof head.

Q. No construction work will be permitted on weekends, Federal Holidays, unless pre-approved by the COR:
