About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source a commercial medical equipment contract. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 10, through the Ann Arbor Health Care System, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract with no option years to CS Medical LLC, a small business located in Creedmoor, North Carolina, for the acquisition of a TEEClean Automated TEE Probe Cleaner Disinfector system and related components. The equipment will be used for cleaning and high-level disinfection of Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) ultrasound probes used in cardiology patient procedures. The procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR 12.102(a) for commercial products and services, with the NAICS code 339113 (Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 6515.

The required deliverables include the TEEClean automated cleaner/disinfector unit, high-level disinfectant, vapor management kit, enzymatic cleaner, water filters, starter kit with installation and training, web-based in-service training (five user licenses), sales sample kit, tip protector sample kit, and freight. The Government asserts that CS Medical, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer, is the only responsible source capable of meeting the requirement due to the equipment's proprietary nature and FDA compliance features, including automated cleaning and quality control tracking capabilities. The response deadline for any parties seeking to demonstrate that competition would be advantageous to the Government is 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on August 28, 2026. Inquiries should be directed to Contract Specialist Lonnelle Jones at lonnelle.jones@va.gov.
