About this file
This document is a Standard Form 30 (Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract) for the Indianapolis Domiciliary Food Services contract (Solicitation Number 36C25025Q0375) issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office. The amendment addresses contractor questions regarding a food service contract at a VA domiciliary facility, detailing specific operational requirements including daily staffing (minimum of two cooks, two food service workers, and one supervisor), kitchen operating hours (5:30 am to 7 pm), and specific equipment inventory.
Key contract details include the requirement to prepare sufficient meals with a 15% buffer, accommodate special dietary needs (Kosher, Halal, clear liquid, soft chew, and puree diets), and provide comprehensive food service using existing kitchen equipment. The previous contract (36C25025P0387) was held by The Severson Group LLC with a value of $477,999.60 and was terminated at the government's convenience. The VA will provide office space, internet service, trash and recycling services, and backup generators. The contractor is responsible for smallwares, maintaining a meal tracking system, and adhering to specific salad bar and meal preparation guidelines.
