Replace Fire Alarm System The vendor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to replace the existing fire alarm system with a new campus-wide fire alarm system in accordance with the plans and specifications provided. The new system must be nonproprietary, meaning the manufacturer allows fair and open competition between vendors selling the fire alarm devices. The manufacturer of the new system must provide certified maintenance and repair training for two of the VA’s maintenance personnel to keep most of the system maintenance in-house.

Other Required Skills and Expertise:

· Demolition

· Firestopping

· Painting

· Low-voltage electrical Power Conductors and Cables

· Raceway and Boxes for Electrical Systems

· Fire Detection All work must be completed at the VA- Northern Indiana Health Care (VANIHCS) – Fort Wayne Campus, 2121 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805.

Work must be completed within 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

The VA’s goal is to obtain fair and reasonable pricing. Therefore, we are soliciting Full and Open with socio-economic groups to determine how to fulfill VANIHCS's needs. We must know your firm's interest in assisting VANIHCS in accurately determining.

To be eligible, interested parties must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://sam.gov. Firms claiming small business classification status must also register and be certified through the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization database, located at https://vetbiz.va.gov. Again, no preference for any socioeconomic group will be given.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this potential acquisition is 238210 - Electrical Vendors and Other Wiring Installation Vendors.
